To mine a gold ore, first, you will need a pickaxe. Once you get a pickaxe from a merchant, simply approach a gold ore node and interact with it. Don’t forget that the mining process is slow and loud, and gold ores are often located in dangerous areas, thus, be careful not to get attacked while you are mining.
As we already mentioned, we searched every corner of the Goblin caves but we couldn’t find a single gold vein. The first location is in the Square, in the middle of the map. Interact with the lady statue with two hands and open the worm room. As soon as you jump down, turn around and look for a pile of rocks and skulls. You can easily come across Worm or the Golem boss, thus, be careful. There are three possible nodes here.
The second one is in the Watering Hole, in the cave in the northwest corner of ruins. Cave entrance is lower elevation water pit with zombies. Also, some bats are waiting for you there. There are four possible nodes here.
There is also hidden gold in the Bandit Forest – bottom left of the map in the little cave behind some bushes.
